Broncos -6 over BENGALS
REDSKINS -3.5 over Jets
LIONS -4 over Cardinals
PANTHERS -4 over Jaguars
Falcons +2 over COWBOYS
In the Chiefs - Charger you have improved Offenses and deteriorating
Defenses.
The over is listed at 47. I would take the over.
24-23 ... both teams will score more than that.
The under in the Falcons - Cowboys is listed as
36.5 I like the under on that game. Both teams have no choice
but to rely heavily on the run right now. Both teams have great
defenses. Unless there are some big interceptions, fumbles or
big special teams returns for touchdowns, we may not see any touchdowns.
3 Team Parlay to WIN (money line)
DOLPHINS over Texans
Broncos over BENGALS
REDSKINS over Jets
After a studying the first week match-ups, and thinking about
the injuries that happened, I've decided that I'm adding the Redskins
into my "money pick of the week." Mr. Pennington could
miss 12 weeks with 4 fractured bones in his hand.
*Remember that Chad only got his opportunity because Vinny Testaverde
could NOT execute the West coast offense last year. They really
struggled with Vinny early in the season. Now he is 1 year older
and rusty. Vinny simply is NOT a west coast QB, even after a year
on the sideline to study the system.
The Jets already questionable secondary was embarrassed by Ike
Hilliard and Kerry Collins, with good performances by Amani Toomer
and Tiki Barber as well. The Jets Secondary has big problems and
the offense may be anemic this year with Not-So Good-Old-Vinny
directing the Offense. They also don't have the dominant run game
anymore. Curtis Martin is still great but he won't be gaining
100 yards against a tough Redskins D.
WR Laveraneus Coles is already starting to shine on the pass
happy Redskins. After burning the Baltimore Ravens #1 squad last
week, he should have no trouble blowing up the Jets "poor"
secondary. Coles COULD HAVE easily tallied up 200+ yards and 3
TDs if QB Patrick Ramsey was a little more accurate. Against the
Jets poor secondary it won't matter. I believe that Coles and
Ramsey will eat up yardage. The Redskins offense is designed to
put up huge passing numbers.
The Redskins Defense is much improved. The Defensive line is
healthy. Champ Bailey is the BEST cover cornerback in the league.
The Skins are loaded with talent and constantly getting better.
They will fluster Vinny a.k.a. "sack king" and he will
make mistakes. The Redskins have the Jets Best WR, K, PR, from
last year. And now the Jets don't have their QB either. After
seeing what the Redskins defense did last year I didn't need to
think too long about this one.
My 100 point play should pay out 210 points.
I say there is a 75% chance of these 3 teams winning. That is
Very Good! The Dolphins are a LOCK at home against the Texans.
The Broncos are one of the most complete teams and Run the ball
efficiently and the Bengals lost their best Run Stopper Takeo
Spikes. They can probably beat the bumbling Bengals without giving
Jake Plummer more than 15 chances to blow it!
If your can not find a money line on the Dolphins - Texans game,
I have a back up plan. I found so many mismatches in the Jaguars
- Panthers game. The Panthers have a totally INSANE defense, thanks
to MADMAN coach John Foxx who is considered a defensive genius.
He loves Stephen Davis who is a perfect fit at RB for the Panthers
offense.
The Jaguars on the other hand are not all there. Mark Brunnell
is already questionable at QB and has no good wide receiver to
throw it to. Fred Taylor is becoming less of a threat every day,
as well as an injury risk. Even if healthy and playing well there
is no way Taylor can offset for the lack of a passing game.
Panthers*
Broncos 3 Teams to win (no point spread)
Redskins
My 50 point play should be worth 150 points.
I am totally confident in the Redskins and Broncos however I
am not as confident with the Panthers as I was the Dolphins (obviously).
I will cover myself by placing a bet with the Jaguars over the
Panthers just in case. Take a look …
Jaguars*
Broncos 3 Teams to win (no point spread)
Redskins
My 50 point play in this scenario is worth 275 points
I would place this bet as a "cover" just in case the
Jaguars actually beat the Panthers. I really like the Dolphins
but if necessary there is still room to work around them this
week and it still looks great!
I like all four if the teams. The Dolphins scenario is obviously
the best. But the risk on the second scenario is less and the
payout is still nice. As you know I really like the Redskins over
the Jets because of the "match ups". I really like the
Broncos by 6 over a team that cant stop the run, considering C.
Portis and one of the best rushing attacks in the league. Finally,
I like the Panthers because John Fox got the G-Men to the Super
bowl.
This Panthers defense is excellent, and Stephen Davis is exactly
what Madman Fox needs to win and he has him!
Broncos
Vikings
Chargers
A 20 point play results in 228 points.
These teams are all very good teams and capable of winning big
games. It is the NFL. Weird things happen. This is maximum payout
play with minimal risk.
